I believe that the pluralist theory most closely relates to the role that the average citizen plans in politics. First off, the pluralist theory is that the people divided into multiple groups, run the government, not the people as a whole. These "groups" influence laws and policies, and the political agenda. Pluralists also believe that the creation of public policies are due to the competition among groups. The competition enables more ideas to be created. These groups also create a balance since there are more than one group, emphasizing that not one group specifically holds more influence. I believe that the Pluralist theory most closely relates to the role that the average citizen plays in politics because every person has the right to choose which political party they would like to be apart of. The two popular parties are the Democrat Party and the Republican Party. Each political party chooses their candidates. There is an election, in which the candidates from different political parties compete against each other, and in return create new ideas or possible policies or laws to further enhance our Government.
